Oral Health 2014 Guiding Principles • Broader constituency is essential to improving oral health because diversity of opinion leads to better decisions and actions • Six priority areas (Alliance)—part of something bigger • Implement solutions based on what we know/have already (e.g. med/dent collabusing Smiles for Life tool)—don’t reinvent the wheel • Learn from other grantees, TA providers (leverage) • Engage organizations that represent the interests of patients/consumers • Use processes that respect the legitimacy of every party’s interests • Align program with our theory of change • Participate in evaluation process—balance accountability and learning
