  6. At the function, Shri Brijmohan Agarwal particularly discussed the agricultural development in Chhattisgarh. He said that the state's agriculture growth rate is higher than the national growth rate.

  7. Agriculture growth Rate In the eleventh five year plan period(2007-08 to 2011-12), the national agricultural growth rate was 3.3 percent while the agricultural growth rate in Chhattisgarh was 6.3 percent. Twelfth and national agricultural growth rate is 3 percent.

Agriculture in Chhattisgarh The state government's efforts over the last sixteen years has increased 11 percent in irrigation. 13 lakh 28 thousand hectare land used to be irrigated which is now increased to 19 lakh 73 thousand hectare. The national agricultural growth rate was 3.3 percent while the agricultural growth rate in Chhattisgarh was 6.3 percent.
