  2. meteor noun A meteor is a piece of rock from space.

  3. gyroscope noun A gyroscope is an instrument used to keep ships and airplanes on course.

  4. polarity noun When something has polarity, it’s opposite poles are equally aligned.

  5. dangling verb When something is dangling, it is hanging or swinging loosely.

  6. robot noun A robot is a a machine that can do some of the same tasks as a person.

  7. reversing verb When something is reversing, it is moving in the opposite direction.

  8. defective adjective Something is defective if it has a flaw or weakness.

  9. The defective car seat was recalled by the manufacturer. The defective tire blew out on the highway after only 100 miles. The car’s brakes were defective, so the company replaced them for free.

  10. Talk to your partner… about something you had that was defective. Sentence starter: “I had a defective ___”
