This respiratory antibiotic is indicated for the management of cystic fibrosis patients with chronic pulmonary Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) infections. • Moreover, in April 2016, Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp., a biopharmaceutical company, launched its QUINSAIR (levofloxacin inhalation solution) in Germany and Denmark. It is the first fluoroquinolone to be approved as an inhaled therapy for a pulmonary disease. QUINSAIR is approved in the European Union (EU) and Canada for the management of chronic pulmonary infections caused due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa in adult patients with cystic fibrosis (CF).
