  5. Podcasting Podcasting is a new method of communicating that allows anyone to create audio files and download them to computers or MP3 players for other to listen to.

  7. Audacity is a free web tool used for audio editing and recording that is a resource for creating a podcast.

  8. Tasks • Record Live Audio • Convert Tapes into Digital Recordings • Edit sound files such as mp3 • Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds together • Change speed or pitch of recording • Dub over existing tracks http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about/features

  9. Getting Started To export files, Audacity requires an encoder. The LAME mp3 encoder may be downloaded and used in Audacity. http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/

  15. Trimming Clips Sometimes a clip may be too long or you want to cut part of it out. • Highlight the section you wish to keep. • Click the “Trim” button at the top and the rest will be cut out.
