  3. OBJECTIVES • EU Energy Centre. • Platform for discussion with WREC and Industry Associations JPIA and SEIA. • Promote Hybrid Systems. • Promote export to OECD countries.

  4. EU Energy Centre Objectives: • Creation of a European Energy Centre • Programmers RES Priority areas: • Mediterranean countries • Rest of emerging countries

  5. Description of work Task 1: Investigate opportunities for the creation of a European Energy centre for RES with collaboration with EREC. Task 2: Promote infrastructures in order to ensure sustainability and viability. Task 3: Exploit on-grid applications in order to ensure the better pay back conditions. Task 4: Implement the EU Mediterranean model in other emerging countries.

  6. Planning • Launch of PV Catapult ► 11 December 2003 • 1st EPIA – WREC meeting ►February 2004 • Interaction with Industry Associations during the 19th EU Conference in Paris ►June 2004 • Follow up ►December 2004
