Hand-building • Pinch Building • Coil Building • Slab Building (we will use both a slab roller, and slab rolling sets) • Throwing (creating art on the Potter’s wheel, we have 10 Potter’s wheels) We will start this next quarter! • Culture- Ongoing • History- Ongoing A General outline of what we will do this Semester

  3. Typical Work Day: • When Students come in there is a sketchbook entry on the board which goes in their interactive sketchbooks. They work on this while I do attendance. • I introduce or “recap” major points for the project. • If we recently started, or if we are completing a project I put the requirements on the board. • For example...   4. It must be hollow It must make a rattle sound It must have 2 textures It must have 2 attachments Craftsmanship- cleanly attached, sharp parts are smoothed off, words/textures are drawn with any tool except for the needle tool. Show sample grading rubric Pinch Pot Rattle requirements

  12. We looked at various cultures who use marks or stamps on their ceramic art. Students drew a variety of stamps that include their initials or names. They then chose their favorite one and created a stamp with this “mark”. Our first project was to create an artist “Mark” or stamp
