Functions of Bill • Increased the National governments ability to quickly react to oil spills and clean them up • Made in response to the Exxon Valdez oil spill • Statures for the cleanup of oil spills and states which group will be responsible to pay for the funding of the cleanup • Can penalize companies who don’t meet the regulations for safe oil transportation

  3. People Responsible • Federal, State, and local law enforcement all have the authority to act upon the Oil Spill Prevention and Liability Act. • The EPA is the agency that is responsible for it By: Billy Gentry
