  2. The Wilderness: A Journey of Faith • Must have God's “Light” – Can't see without Light • (Ps 119:105) (John 8:12) (1 Pet 2:21) • Must humble ourselves so that our eyes will see • (John 12:37-40) (Matt 16:24; 5:3) • (1 Cor 3:18-19) (Ps 19:7)

The Christian must journey in a spiritually desolate world (Jas 4:4) (1 Jn 2:15-17) God sent “Food” & “Drink” (Jn 6:32-35, 49-51) (Jn 6:53-55) (Jn 4:13-14) (1 Pet 2:2, 3) The Wilderness: A Journey of Faith Supplied Provisions in the Wilderness • The Israelites – Physical Desert – desolate to sustain nomadic life • Manna • (Ex 16:4-5, 31, 35) • Water • (Ex 17:6) • (1 Cor 10:3-4)
