  3. Our Company History • Borden Trucking & Logistics is a customer focused logistics firm based in the key transportation corridor in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. Every major delivery point in the USA can be reached from the I-10/I-15 junction. • Thirty-Nine continuous years of providing transportation and warehousing services to a solid base of clients and customers. Our Logistics Services • 3PL Warehouse & Services: • Cross-dock warehouse facility with 88,000 square feet of space. • Short & long term storage with a full service menu of warehouse operations. • Container Transloading & Devanning station for both import and export cargo’s. • Direct Union Pacific railroad access. 1,800+ feet of useable straight tracks. • Truckload & Less-Than-Truckload Transportation: • Oversized and Overweight load specialists. • TL and LTL services to all 50 states and Puerto Rico. • Standard 26ft Bobtail Trucks for same day and next day deliveries. • Equipment Pool that includes; 48ft & 53ft trailers plus lowboy and flatbed trailers. • Construction Transportation & Services: • Asphalt Resurfacing and Construction Site Removal Experts. • Equipment Pool that includes; Landoll trailers, Super 10 & Strong-Arm dump trucks, and street-sweeper trucks.

  6. Assumptions/Questions – page 1 A. Payload Issues: 1. We always want to transload the maximum weight into a 20FT or 40FT container. 2. Base on California highway limits maximum payload is between 40,000 to 48,000. 3. Maximum payload for 20FT is 40,000, 20FT with triaxle is 48,000, 40FT is 48,000. 4. Ocean freight on 20FT is usually 75% of the cost of a 40FT container. 5. What is optimum size container to load based upon rates and payload? 6. Can steamship line(s) provide enough 20FT/triaxle chassis on a consistent basis?

  7. Assumptions/Questions – page 2 B. Railroad Issues: 1. The Borden facility is serviced by the UPRR and the track is consider closed to BNSF. 2. If BNSF rail is used then there is a switch/interchange cost to move cars to the UP track. If UP is used exclusive then there are no switch/interchange costs. 3. Is BNSF your preferred rail carrier over the UPRR? 4. Who is your account representative at BNSF and/or UPRR? 5. Rail volumes should be consistent and on a fluid schedule as much as possible. 6. Will there be a plan or schedule in place to forecast inbound rail car volumes?

Do we need to scale each container before & after to obtain product exact weight? 3. Is it possible for us to visit the current site where the transloading is done today? 4. Can you provide details on the current auger system that is being used? 5. What weekly volume amounts are you looking to handle on the West Coast? 6. What is expected cycle time (turn-around time) for transloading railcars?

If we use 20FT/triaxle chassis combination – will carrier supply at no extra cost? 4. Does the difference in ocean freight costs make a 20FT more advantageous? 5. What are the ocean freight costs for 20FT and 40FT? 6. Is the transloading rate of $20 per ton a firm and built in cost for Honor Grain?
