  1. His Resurrection is for Divine Health Premise: Life after death and going to Heaven is not the early Church's primary message of the Gospels; rather it is bringing Heaven's divine health into a new creation.

  2. Resurrection establishes the Covenant promises Hebrews 13(12) Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Paslms138 (2) I will bow down toward Your holy temple. And give thanks to Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth;or faithfulness For You have magnified Your word or promise according or together with to all Your name . 2 Cor 1(20) For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

  3. Resurrection proves His finished work upon the tree. (Sozo)--body, soul, spirit 1Peter 2(21-24)  For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, 22 WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH; 23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross (Tree), so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. Gal 3(13) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”—O.T. Deut. 21(23)

  4. Divine Health is Resurrection's promise in the N. T. • Luke 22(20 &37) And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood''. “For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, ‘AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS’*; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment.” (In the context of the Last Supper.) • Isaiah 53 (5&12) • But He was pierced through for our transgressions,He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. • Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors;Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors

  5. Resurrection is the Good News of the early church’s Justification Acts 13(32-39) “We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors 33 he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “ ‘You are my son; today I have become your father.’ 34God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’ 35 So it is also stated elsewhere: “ ‘You will not let your holy one see decay.’ 36 “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. 37But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.

  6. The Divine Health that’s in the Resurrection empowers righteousness apart from the Law

  7. The Law's Intention was about the Heart Romans 2(13-15) for it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) NIV Romans 2(29)No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. NIV

  8. Faith has always been the cornerstone of righteousness Romans 3(27-31)Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we *upholdthe law. *Romans 13(10) Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 9(30-32) What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faithbut as if it were by works

  9. Faith in Jesus's Resurrection makes everyone Righteous Romans 3(20-23)Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. 21 But now apart from the law ……the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. (The Good News of Jesus Resurrection) There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

  10. Resurrection enables His Grace to empower • Heaven's rule upon the earth. • Acts 14 (1-3) At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed.2But the*Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. 3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders? • Eph 2(8-10)  For bygraceyou have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

  11. God's New World Order

  12. Jesus's Resurrection released a New Creation 2 Cor 5 (17-21)  Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new *creature(new creation); the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the *world (Kosmos) to Himself, not counting their *trespasses (false steps) against them, and He has *committed (placed in us) to us the word of *reconciliation(an exchange for restored favor). 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

  13. Jesus's Resurrection destroys fear of punishment. • 1 John 4(14-19)  We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.15 whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16We have come to know and have believed the love, which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the Day of Judgment*; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us. • *Literally the age of “the process of separation” iswhen God judges those who are in Christ, not by their confession of sin, but rather by those who have received the Father's Love and have given it away!

  14. The New Testament’s Tension is about the Resurrection Acts 23 (6-11)  But perceiving that one group were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, “Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!”7 As he said this, there occurred a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor an angel, nor a spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all. 9 And there occurred a great uproar; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and began to argue heatedly, saying, “We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?” 10 And as a great dissension was developing, the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.11 But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, “Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also.

  15. Sadducees' Perspective Psalms 115 (17) The dead do not praise the LORD, Nor do any who go down into silence;18 But as for us, we will bless the LORD. Job 3(11-12) “Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb? 12 Why were there knees to receive me and breasts that I might be nursed? 13 For now I would be lying down in peace; I would be asleep and at rest Ecc 9 (5) The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered. Psalms 146 (3-4)  Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

  16. Pharisees' perspective • Isaiah 26(19) But those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead! NLT • Job 19 (25-27)  “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.26“Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God;27 Whom I myself shall behold, And whom my eyes will see and not another. My heart faints within me! • Ezekiel 37(12 &14a)’  Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.. 14I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life,

  17. Jesus’s Resurrection is …..God's final answer Mark 12(24-27)  Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God? 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26 But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB’? 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken.”

  18. Resurrection’s hope is redemption of the Body. • Rom. 8 (22-23).  For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. • Matt 4 (23) Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.

  19. Resurrection and Divine health on the Judgment of the Last day

  20. Resurrection and Judgment day, on the Last Day. John 11(21-24) 21 Martha then said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23 Jesus *said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha *said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 1John 4(17)17By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the Day of Judgment*; because as He is, so also are we in this world. *Krisis-denotes "the process of investigation, the act of distinguishing and separating

  21. Last day Judgment* honoring the quality of natural life • Dan 12 (2) Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt (abhorrence). • Matt 25 (41-46)  “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the (age of) eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46These will go away into eternal punishment,( kolasis )but the righteous into eternal life.

  22. Last day is not about the judgment of sin Hebrew 9(26b-28) -26 b--but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes*judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. *Krisis-denotes "the process of investigation, the act of distinguishing and separating.''

  23. Resurrection’s hope on the last day 1 Cor. 15(20-26) But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who are asleep. 21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming,24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be abolished is death. Phil 3(20)  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

  24. The Last Day’s Transformation 1 Thess. 4(17) Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Colossians 1(13-14)  For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. ( The "now" and the "not yet" of the Kingdom)

  25. The sobriety of the Last day 2 Cor 5 (10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Rev 20(12) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds

  26. Old Testament promise: those that were in covenant with the true God of Israel, the righteous, would physically rise into a new HEALED creation. Isa 65(17-19)  “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.18 “But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing And her people for gladness.19 “I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.

  27. N. T. promise of Divine Health on the Last day • This is what John saw in his revelation of Jesus: • Rev.21 (1-4)  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

  28. Divine Healing Declaration • We believe in Divine health because God is for us. • We believe Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. • We believe Jesus is still doing good and healing all oppressed by the devil. • We believe God’s will for us is to prosper and be healthy in body, soul, and spirit. ( Divine Health) • We believe we are blessed coming in and going out. We are blessed in our body. We serve the Lord and He blesses our bread and water and He takes sickness away from the midst of us. • We believe God sent His Word to heal us and deliver us from all destruction.

  29. We believe God's Word is life to us and health to all our flesh. • We believe He is the Lord that heals us. • We believe He Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases. • We believe by Jesus' stripes we were healed. (New Covenant) • We believe in the Lord who forgives us of our iniquities and heals all our diseases; we bless the Lord, with in all of our soul, and all that is within us, we bless His holy name and forget none of His benefits. • We believe God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, • but have eternal life. Amen!
