  2. Definition of a Problem • Armstrong Worldwide Industries, Inc. is in search for an inspiring new innovation in technology that would be efficient in energy conservation and distribution. To do so, they are investigating the merits of low voltage DC power in an office setting. By receiving power from a DC power strip, this invention will greatly reduce energy consumption resulting from the use of AC power.

  3. This was an idea for a smoke detector that can move along a track. Dual motors with wheels attached roll the detector on a track around an office. Smoke Detector

  4. The radio will be very portable. Music can be played anywhere in the office, this may increase productivity. Radio

  5. Coat Hanger • Remote controlled coat hanger with the ability to lower jacket out of harms reach. • Simple but elegant design will be difficult to break.

  10. How it works • A light control system offers the optimal amount of light in an office derived from sunlight and light in the room. The blinds let in a certain amount of light, depending on the weather conditions.
