  2. Benefits of Dual Credit

  3. What’s the cost? • Bee County residents receive free tuition. However there may be course fees which are not free. Students may also have to purchase books. • Students that do not reside in Bee County pay a reduced tuition rate of $30/hour and semester registration fee of $45.

  4. Compare the Cost

  5. Where are the courses taught? • On the high school campus • On the college campus • Through interactive television • On-line – through BlackBoard or WebCT • Hybrid – combination of on-line and face-to-face instruction

  6. Requirements of Eligibility

  7. Dual Credit is for YOU • Basic (Core) courses transfer • Early completion of college • Some basic courses are needed as prerequisites to other programs- ex. Dental Hygiene, Radiology, RN, etc. • Some basic (Core) courses are required to obtain an Associate in Applied Science

  8. Examples of “Basic (Core) courses”

  9. Dual Credit is for YOU • Students that take workforce courses may graduate with a certificate from CBC before they graduate from high school. • Early entry into the working community • Level 1Certificate courses can be “transferred” into Level II, or Associate programs • More education/training = more job opportunities and more money available
