  2. Informatie over de kikker • Kikkers (Anura) zijn een van de drie groepen van amfibieën, naast de salamanders(Caudata) en de wormsalamanders (Gymnophiona). Kikkers zijn ook de grootste groep; van de ongeveer 7020 soorten amfibieën behoort ruim 88% tot de kikkers.1Er zijn tegenwoordig ongeveer 6200 verschillende soorten beschreven.2Kikkers hebben een vrijwel wereldwijde verspreiding en leven in uiteenlopende habitats.
