  4. The Zócalo is the main square and the center of Mexico city. It is the largest plaza in all the Americas.

  5. Mexico’s flag, in the center of the Zócalo, is the largest flag on display in the world.

  6. On the east side of the Zócalo is the Palacio Nacional, built on top of Montezuma’s palace.

  7. Inside the palace are murals by Diego Rivera depicting the history of Mexico.
