  3. Materials Needed for Class • HAWKBOOK (MUST HAVE PASS TO LEAVE CLASSROOM) • PEN OR PENCIL • PAPER • MAY NOT USE THESE ITEMS EVERYDAY, BUT STILL NEED TO BRING!

  4. Rules & Expectations • YOU are expected to act in a professional courteous manner while in this lab. LIKE A YOUNG ADULT! • YOU must be in your seat before the bell rings • YOU are expected to stay on task. • YOU will not disturb other students • YOU will not bring unnecessary items to class. • YOU will not damage the computers. • When YOU need to move, will stand up and walk with your chair. • YOU will raise your hand if you need assistance. • YOU are allowed to help each other with most assignments, so feel free to ask others for help. • YOU are not allowed to have candy, food or drinks!

  5. Consequences of Behavior • 1st Offense- Removed from computer and sent out of room • 2nd Offense- Detention and you will call home to explain! • 3rd Offense- Referral

  6. DAILY ROUNTINE Come straight to class. If you need to use the bathroom or do anything during the passing period, make sure you are not tardy. Students will come into class and look for typing instructions on the board. Can go ahead and get started on typing!

  7. DAILY ROUTINE After about 5 minutes of typing, students will be given directions. Students will move to the front of the room for instruction on the overhead and/ or be given time to work on projects. Students will close out of programs, clean up and turn to the middle of room to be dismissed.

  8. COURSE DESCRIPTION • SEMESTER LONG (18 WEEKS) • GRADING SCALE- SAME AS IN HAWKBOOK • COUNTS TOWARDS HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT- MEANS PASS ASSESSMENT WITH A C or ABOVE YOU DON’T HAVE TO REPEAT AT DCHS
