Framework for partnership • Standard Basic Assistance Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and UNDP signed on 4 October 1994 • Memorandum of understanding between local governments and UNDP singed in 2007 • Memorandum of understanding between the Government of Kazakhstan and UNDP to be signed in 2008

  5. Communication & Co-ordination • Encourage full participation of all the stakeholders in order to promote empowerment and ownership of national counterparts; • Liaise and co-ordinate, within the framework of project activities, with government, donors, UN Gender Thematic Group, other UN Agencies, NGOs as well as regional development agencies operating, complementary activities and innovations and provide feedback to the UNDP and project partners; • Ensure regular communication and coordination with project donors and partners and develop and maintain effective mechanisms for integrating and responding to their feedback and insights;

  6. Resource mobilisation • Assist the National Commission to establish and further develop partnerships with the relevant UN Agencies, foreign government institutions, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, civil society in the area of gender; • Identification of opportunities for national and local governments cost-sharing and other funding

  7. Joint programming • UN joint programme on Gender responsive budgeting - to strengthen democratic governance to promote women’s human rights through support to policy planning and budgeting processes in the Republic of Kazakhstan. • Projects with other donors (parallel financing)
