  1. By Sarah 7C God’s Plan For the World

  2. The 7 c’s cover some of the main ideas in the Bible. It is like a very brief summary. Creation – God created everything; the universe Corruption – the fall of man Catastrophe – the flood: “Noah’s Ark” Confusion – the tower of Babel Christ – Jesus' birth and ministry Cross – Jesus is crucified Consummation – Jesus returns

  3. Creation • Day 1 – heaven and earth • Day 2 – skies and seas • Day 3 – land and vegetation • Day 4 – sun, moon, stars and planets • Day 5 - birds and fish • Day 6 – animals and people • Day 7 – God rested • “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” - Genesis 1:1

  4. Corruption – something good turns bad Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden?” - Genesis 3:1 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. - Genesis 3:6 Then the LORD God said to the woman, ‘What is this you have done?”  The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” - Genesis 3:13

  5. Catastrophe The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.” - Genesis 7:1 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. -Genesis 7:17 Every living thing that moved on land perished - birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. - Genesis 7:19

  6. Confusion Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. - Genesis 11:1 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth. - Genesis 11:8-9

  7. Christ • Now Jesus himself was about thirty • years old when he began his ministry. • - Luke 3:23 • Then he went down to Capernaum, a • town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority. - Luke 4:31 – 32 • At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. - Luke 4:40 • Jesus taught through parables, He healed and performed many miracles.

  8. Cross “ But made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on the cross.” - Philippians 2:5-8

  9. Consummation • “Then I saw a new heaven and new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.” - Revelation 21:1
