  4. Califa/Overdrive: What You Need • Computer • Internet connection (high speed best) • MARINet library card and PIN • Overdrive Media Console • Windows Media Player 9 or higher • Speakers or headphones • wma-ready portable player (optional)

Califa/Overdrive: Step-by-Step • Begin at the Library home page (www.thelibrary.info) • Click on eBooks and Audio Books • Click on Califa Digital Book Download Center • Find a book by searching or browsing (Always Available Audio Books, All Overdrive Audio Books, and Advanced Search are the best ways to find titles) • Click Add to Bookbag • Click Proceed to Checkout • Sign in using your MARINet card and PIN • Confirm check out Continued…

Califa/Overdrive: Step-by-Step 2 • Download and install the Overdrive Media Console if you don’t have it already. • Click Download button (underneath the picture of the book cover) to open Overdrive and select destination folder and parts to download. • When download is finished, play the file on your computer within the Overdrive console or go to the destination folder to open the file in Windows Media Player and copy it to a portable digital device. Overdrive books may also be burned onto a CD. • To download Windows Media Player, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/
