  2. Goal: • To learn a new way to look good in those awesome snorkeling goggles and mouthpiece, along with the sleek wetsuit motif.

  3. Activity Selection: • “Garking”—this is a revised form of snorkeling.

  4. Activity Description: • This is snorkeling, but not in the ocean, in the river. Hence, it has come to be known as garking. You float downstream with the gear on and watch all the life below slowly drift past you.

  5. Modification of Facilities: • You just need to find a safe river, that is fairly shallow, but just deep enough so that you won’t continually get high-centered on rocks. It needs to have a nice and easy current so everything doesn’t just look like a blur as you float by.

  6. Modification of Equipment: • Need a wet suit • Life Jacket (so you stay afloat easier) • Snorkeling goggles and mouthpiece
