  8. F/V VICIOUS FISHER • What happened: • Sunk F/V in Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary • Small boat and air assets on-scene • All crewmembers rescued • Significance: • Sanctuary impacted, 4000 gal potential • Adverse weather conditions • OSLTF opened

  9. F/V KRISTENA ROSE • What happened: • F/V grounding off Shipwreck Point near Neah Bay • Towed to Neah Bay Marina • All crewmembers rescued, no significant environmental impact • Significance: • 1500 gal potential • OSLTF opened • Interagency/Tribal relationships

M/Y SCOUT • What happened: • Yacht sinking in the Straits of Juan de Fuca near Neah Bay • All persons rescued • Vessel towed to Neah Bay Marina to re-float and defuel • Significance: • Partially submerged for duration of response • 700 gal potential • OSLTF opened • Adverse weather conditions • Drifted across international border several times

  11. U.S. Oil and Refining • What happened: • 25 gal discharge into Blair Waterway at US Oil & Refining Co. facility in Tacoma • Bleeder valve partially open • RP setup ICS and hired MSRC • Significance: • 1050 gal discharge initial reported • Effectiveness of ICS organization

  13. BNSF Derailment • What happened: • Two trains sideswiped • 4 tank car with 16,000 gal of NaOH • One tank car leaked onto the beach • BNSF hired NRCES • Significance: • 64,000 gal potential • In the tidal zone • Hazardous substance • Effectiveness of ICS organization
