  7. How Is Access to Pesticides Restricted?

  8. Who are the Pesticide Users? • Vendors (~4,600) • Operators (pesticide service providers ~1,500) • Exterminators (commercial application~11,000) • Technicians (assisting the exterminators ~2500) • Certified Growers (farmers ~25,000) • Homeowners (unknown)

  9. Pesticide Licensing There are 18 types of pesticide licenses issued by MOE • Operator (1) • Vendor (2) • Exterminator (15) • Land (5 classes) • Structural (7 classes) • Water (3 classes)

  11. Additional Controls on Use • Signs are required to notify the public of commercial pesticide applications to land • Use permits are required for higher risk pesticides Restrict pesticide use to protect environmentally sensitive areas
