1. England Food, Music and Poetry

2. Breakfast The traditional English breakfast called, a “Full English”, consists of eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread, baked beans and mushrooms. Even though not many people will eat this for breakfast today, it is always served in hotels and guest houses around Britain.

3. Lunch Many children at school and adults at work will have a 'packed lunch'. This typically consists of a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink. A sandwich is also called a “butty” or a “sarnie” in some parts of the UK.

4. Dinner and Dessert • A typical British meal for dinner is "meat and two veg". We put hot brown gravyon the meat and usually the vegetables. One of the vegetables is almost always potatoes. • In Britain, dessert is called pudding, or pud, for short. Some puds are trifles, English crumpets, and hasty pudding.

5. Music Music from England was made up of religious music, folk music, classical music and many other styles. 6. Literature William Shakespeare was a playwright and poet whosefworks are considered the greatest in English literature. He wrote dozens of plays such as, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet, which continue to be peroformed today. Charles Dickens is a famous English writer. People all over the world enjoy his stories. Some of his works are, Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. J.K.Rowling is the author of the famous Harry Potter series.
