Language is basically a means of communication amongst the associates of society. Language is a fundamental aspect of the appearance of culture and tradition. A language is a tool that conveys our culture, values, and traditions related to group identity. It is an important part of human connection. Even though all species have their own methods of communication, humans are the ones that have proficient at cognitive language communication.

  2. INTRODUCTION • Language is basically a means of communication amongst the associates of society. Language is a fundamental aspect of the appearance of culture and tradition. A language is a tool that conveys our culture, values, and traditions related to group identity. It is an important part of human connection. Even though all species have their own methods of communication, humans are the ones that have proficient at cognitive language communication.

  3. Language allows people to share their idea, feelings, and thoughts with others through communication. It has the supremacy to build societies, but at the same time, it can tear them down. Have you ever wonder why is language important? To get the answer to this question, you’ll have to break down to actually understand why. 

  4. Why Is Language Significant? • Language makes us human, and it is the main way how people communicate. If you learn a language, it means you have the ability in understanding a complex system of words, structure, and grammar to successfully communicate with others.

  5. Language comes naturally for certain people. We learn how to communicate through language even before we can talk, and as we grow older, we find many ways to use language to accurately convey what we want to say by using words and difficult sentences. Yes, all the communication is not through language, but understanding a language definitely helps improve the process. It is one of the important reasons why language is significant.

Language Is Essential For Students and Development • In different times, humans all learn to talk, and observing when a child begins to use language can be revealing of how well they are improving. But this is not only applied to babies, and it also applies to young children. School students who are learning a second language in school that’s different from the language they speak at home are working on regaining it.

  7. Different Types of Language • Moreover, to language functions, there are also different kinds of language and ways to comprehend language generally. If you are able to differentiate, these can help you understand other main reasons why language is so essential.

  8. Oral vs. Written Language • Generally, oral communication is spoken language inevitable for communicating with others. Written language is about conveying thoughts and ideas through writing words down. Written language is generally more formal and slow, while oral communication is more informal and quicker.

  9. Denotative Meaning vs. Connotative Meaning • Language has denotative meaning and connotative meaning. Words have a lot of meaning and the meaning based on the context surrounding the word.  • Connotative means that they carry positive or negative meanings, whereas denotative meaning is the literal definition or intention of the word. For example home vs. house, the house is denotative (the literal term), and whereas the home is connotative (represents shelter, family, security).

  10. Conclusion • In the present time, changing along with culture, it’s easy to recognize that language. With technology come fashions or different ways of speaking, like how many youngsters or young people use slang when they communicate. People start to accept that there are many other methods of speaking language when societies become more progressive and broad-minded. • Many people know the accurate answer to why is language important, but they often take language for granted. Language is a significant life skill, predominantly in school, college, and the workplace.
