  1. JuniorScheduling Assembly For the 2019 - 2020 School Year

  2. Congratulations – your SENIOR YEAR is fast approaching! COURSE CATALOGS will mailed to your home by the end of February. Please read through the COURSE CATALOG to select the courses you want to take next year.

The path to GRADUATION • Make sure you are earning at least 22 credits: • 4 credits in English • 4 credits in Social Studies • At least 3 credits in both Math and Science • 1/2 credit in Health • 2 credits of Physical Education • 1 Art/Music Credit • 1 LOTE Credit • 3.5 Additional/Elective Credits

  5. Your current teachers will recommend levels for: Social Studies Math Science Please be sure that you have filled out the Google Survey from the Counseling Office for elective choices. All students must take 5.5 credits each year. COURSE RECOMMENDATIONS

  7. SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS You will be scheduled for an appointment with your counselor. Appointments will begin in March – dates and times will be posted. Please check the list and remember your appointment. If you miss your appointment, we will reschedule you at a later time.

What’s Next? • Read your course catalog. • Remember your scheduling appointment with your counselor. • Take home your course selections list, discuss your choices with a parent/guardian, then return the signed form to the Counseling Office. • CiTiBOCES students return your signed permission. • Let your counselor know if you need more time after the appointment!

  11. Course selections are made with the assumption that you will pass all classes. If you fail a course or regents exam, sign up for Summer School. It is free and it keeps you on track for graduation. All students must take at least 5.5 credits. Remember these basics…

JULY/AUGUST • Every attempt will be made to give you all the courses you want. • If you fail any required courseand donot attend summer school, you may have to repeat that course or complete credit recovery. • If you fail any required exam & do not retake it in August, you must prepare to retake in January.

  13. Late August – Schedules Mailed Home • Contact your counselor ASAP if there are any errors or conflicts. • Lunch changes and teacher changes are not a priority.

  14. Friendly Reminders… If a four-year college is in your future, make sure to register for the SAT and ACT college entrance exams. April 13 ACT –DEADLINE to register is March 8 May 4 SAT -DEADLINE to register is April 5 June 1 SAT -DEADLINE to register is May 3 June 8 ACT -DEADLINE to register is May 3
