Ghana. By Hannah Sterwerf. Ghana is country that is located in Africa. Ghana is located north of the equator in the northern hemisphere. The country's climate falls in the tropical zone. The highest point in the country is Mt. Cheaha which is 2,407 ft. above sea level.

  2. Ghana is country that is located in Africa. • Ghana is located north of the equator in the northern hemisphere.

  3. The country's climate falls in the tropical zone. • The highest point in the country is Mt. Cheaha which is 2,407 ft. above sea level.

  4. Ghana’s major source of water is the Voltan River System which flows south to the Gulf of Guinea. Even though this is a large river system, the biggest source is groundwater. (wells, or aquifers which are fed from this river system) • Ghana has a population of 24 million as of 2010.

  5. Ghana has a number of sources of income which include: cocoa, oil, timber, electricity, diamond, bauxite, and manganese. • Christianity is the dominate religion for Ghana.

  6. Ghana’s Flag is represented by red, green, gold, and one lone star. • Red represents those who have died for independence. • Gold represents the rich natures of the land. • Green represents the tropics which are blessed with vegetation. • The lone star represents emancipation against colonialism.

  7. The people of Ghana are referred to as Ghanaians. The early settlers of the country were referred to as Soninke. • The primary language in Ghana is English but a number of other languages such as Akan, Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ewe, Ga, Gonja, Kasem, Nzema are also recognized.

  8. The people in Ghana celebrate Christmas from the 20th of December to first week in January. Christmas starts on Christmas Eve with parties and dancing and on Xmas day with gifts and celebrations. • Merry Christmas is said “Afishapa”

  9. I would not like to visit Ghana because their fashion sense is not the same as mine. Thanks
