KIA Facts and Figures • Plan announced in March of 2006 • Started manufacturing in November of 2009. • $1.1 billion investment by KIA. • $20 million dollar investment by the state to build the training center. • 360,000 vehicles produced per year. (KIA Sorrento, KIA Optima, Hyundai Santa Fe) • Approximately 6,000 workers on site.

KIA Facts and Figures • Roughly 4,500 additional jobs have been added at Georgia businesses that feed • parts/supplies to KIA. • Takes 18 hours to build one vehicle. • Each vehicle travels on 5.9 miles of conveyor belts before they are completed. • 9% of all vehicles produced are exported. (Canada, Chile, Caribbean) • About 50% are sent out on trucks, the other 50% on rail. • More than 132,000 people have applied for a job at KIA since 2008.
