  23. a rebirth of co-op housing? • Ministerial commitment – 500 new homes • Emergence of community mutuals • Housing and Regeneration • Labour & Co-op driven …. but X Party support • Expertise: CCH and Wales Co-op Centre • It’s happening!

  24. Pilot Schemes Newport– Funding of £650,000 for 20 Shared Ownership co-operative houses within a mixed tenure development by theSeren Group on Loftus Gardens on ex-Pirelli site.

  25. Pilot Schemes Carmarthenshire – Funding of £851,150 for 27 co-operative Shared Equity houses being developed by the Council in partnership with Gwalia Housing Associationin Carmarthen.

  26. Pilot Schemes Cardiff – Funding of £408,000 for Cadwyn Housing Association to deliver a further 10 co-operative social rent properties within their ‘Garden Village’ style Ely Farm housing development. The plan already includes 31 homes for social rent – total 41 Co-operative Homes – Houses and Flats.

  27. Future Challenges Wales is a different country • no longer ‘England . . . and Wales’ • we’re not Scotland • confidence and capacity • Wales and innovation: surely some mistake?
