  4. How can students come to the Library Media Center? • with a class • with a pass • lunch period with a pass • before or after school (no pass)

  5. What can you NOT bring to the LMC? • Food • Drinks • Smart mouths and bad attitudes!

  6. BOOK CHECK-OUT • Students may borrow 5 (five) books at a timefor a 2 week period.

  7. LIBRARY FINES • if books aren’t returned on time you’ll be charged .10 per day • if you lose a book you must pay the cost of the book • if you owe money or a late book to the library, you can not check out a new book

  8. Library Rules • When you enter the library you must show your pass and give your name to the circulation desk attendant. • Whispering is ok AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT DISTURB OTHERS!

  11. Library Lay-Out • Displayed on the school website: Click on library, forms, and media center layout

  12. Student Meeting Room • Study in silence • Peer Tutoring • Small group meeting organized by a teacher

  13. Parent/Teacher Resource Room • Your parents are welcome to use this room anytime school is open • Includes professional resources, books, and pamphlet resources

  14. We have E-books!! • E-books are online books. • Follow the link on the NMHS Library web page and access e-books with the following: Username: nmhsebooks Password: jaguars

  15. How do you know where to locate a book in the LMC or how to find out what E-books we have? • Use the Destiny online catalog. You can search by title, author, or subject. • The Destiny icon is on the desktop when you log in.
