RESOURCES FOR IMPLEMENTATION Priority Activities (72 m US$ p.a) Standardization and coordination: 0.6 m CHF (RB) Implementation of activities Pilot: 2.1 m CHF (RB) Provision under other ERs: 2.3 m CHF Implementation of Priority projects: • Partially provided under VC (42.7 m CHF for 4 yrs) • Expected to be implemented through regional (e.g. ClimDev) and bilateral funding initiatives • Expected to be funded through Adaptation/ Green Fund, banks and philanthropic donations • Members through support to regionalinstitutions • Country programs of UN System

ProposedProjects to implement GFCS in the compendium • Project 1.3.1.1: Support for the implementation of climate watch system in the Regions (0.4m CHF) • Project 1.3.4.2: Strengthening Drought Early Warning and Integrated Drought Management (5.5 m CHF) • Project 1.3.5.3: Strengthening the capacities of Member countries to provide climate services (8.0 m CHF) • Project 1.3.5.4: Training aspects related to GPC and RCC infrastructure (1.6 m CHF)

ProposedProjects to implement GFCS in the compendium(Cont) • Project 1.3.5.5: Enhanced capacity of NMHSs to more effectively use GPC and RCC products to develop and deliver climate services at national levels (10.6 m CHF) • Project 1.3.6.6: Establishment of a worldwide system of Regional Climate Centres, with special focus on vulnerable developing regions (9.8 m CHF) • Project 1.3.7.7: Development of Climate Outlook Forums worldwide, on regional and national scales. (3.25 m CHF) • Project 1.3.8.8: Development of user-targeted climate services for agriculture, water, and health sectors for Climate Risk Management and adaptation. (4.1 m CHF)
