  1. Cuando Yo Era Niña por Patricia Frances Margaret Wittry Martínez Nací el 17 de marzo de 1959 en el Hospital Anderson County en Garnett, Kansas.

  2. El médico les sugirió a mis padres nombrarme “Patricia” en vez de “Jane” porque nací el día de San Patricio. A veces yo tengo la buena suerte.

  3. Lo que me gustaba ... Odiaba llevar vestidos y blusas. Siempre quería llevarme los bluejeans, y quería ser granjera como mis padres.

  4. Una responsabilidad que tenía era cuidar a los cerditos pequeños. Este animalito se llamaba “Elsie”. Aquí mi hermano y yo le damos comida y agua.

  5. Por muchos años después, yo era vegetariana. ¡No podía comer a Elsie el cerdito ni a Britches el becerro!

  6. Mi familia Éramos 8 en mi familia: mi papá, mi mamá, mis cuatro hermanos que ven aquí en la foto, y mi hermanita menor.

  7. Actividades • Mis hermanos y yo siempre jugábamos y trabajábamos en la finca donde vivíamos.

  8. Trepábamos a los árboles, pescábamos, montábamos caballos y bicicletas, y corríamos por todas partes de la finca. ¡Era divertido!
