Azure news update • Late September: • Compute: • New 2-CPU Core 14 GB RAM instance option • Virtual Machines: • Oracle Software Images • Management Operations on Stopped VMs • Active Directory: • Multiple directories, rename and delete directories, cross-directory accounts. • GA of Multi-Factor Authentication • Spending Limit: • Reset your Spending Limit • Virtual Machines are no longer deleted if it is hit • Storage: • New Storage Client Library 2.1 Released • Web Sites: • IP and Domain Restriction Now Supported

Azure news update • October (2): • Cloud Services (PaaS Web/Workers): Windows Server 2012 R2 (OS Family 4) and .NET 4.5.1 • Windows Azure Pack: Azure features on-premiseusing Windows Server 2012 R2 • Active Directory (Preview): • Improved SAML support • Password vault support • User account management • Price Cuts: Up to 22% Price Reduction on Memory-Intensive Instances. • Azure SDK 2.2: • Better support within Visual Studio for debug and management. • PowerShell Cmdlets update. • Only version supported in Visual Studio 2013. • Widest version support in Visual Studio 2012. • Not supported in Visual Studio 2010. • Azure Portal: Map Active Directory to a Subscription. • Autoscale improvements (zero VM support!)

Azure news update • October (1): • Visual Studio 2013 shipped: • Cloud authentication for ASP.Net • Server Explorer updates to manage and debug Azure Cloud Services and Web Sites. • VM image available on Azure to try it out. • Azure direct connect with Equinix • Backup Services GA • Hyper-V Recovery Manager Preview • Virtual Machines: • Windows Server 2012 R2 • Delete Disks with VM • Availability Set Warning (You’ve only got 1 VM!) • SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Setup from Management Portal
