  5. Reading Review • What tips does the author have about rejection? • What are the author’s “five rules of doing business with us”? Will these be your rules too or do you have others to add? • What is a local example of one of the following direct market strategies: • Farmers Market • Agrotourism • Farm stand • Farm to Table Restaurant • CSA

  7. Elevator Pitch • An elevator pitch should answer the who what where when and why. After listening to you partner’s pitch, were you able to understand the following? • Business Name • Business Identity (mission? Motivation?) • Product • Market • Value or benefit to the customer • Did you feel like you need further explanation of the business?

Peer Review • Based on what you’ve read so far… • Can you describe the unique product attributes and how the business/product will fit into the current industry as described in Section 3. • Can you think of any other major competitors for this product/business? • Who do you think the target customer base should be? • Is this headed in the right direction for the writer’s purpose ie. internally or with a banker/investor.
