  4. 1839- Mark moves to Hannibal ,Mo • 1867- Wrote his 1st bestseller ‘Innocents Abroad’ • 1869- Mark Twain wrote ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ • 1882- He wrote ‘The Prince and the Pauper’ • 1884- published his most popular work Huckleberry • Feb,2,1870 Mark Twain married Olivia Langdon • 1907 Mark got an honorary doctorate from Oxford university • Accomplishments

  5. Challenges • On Nov. 30, 1835, the small town of Florida, Mo. Saw the birth of its most famous son. Samuel Langhorne Clemens was welcomed into the world as the sixth child of John Marshall and Jane Lampton Clemens. Little did John and Jane know, their son Samuel would one day be known as Mark Twain - America's most famous literary icon.

  6. Interesting Facts • His most famous novel is The Adventure of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huck Finn. • Haley’s comet was visible in the sky when he was born and when he died.
