  6. Aims of support • Build capacity for KM management focussed on knowledge assets. E.g. knowledge base of contacts and experiences/best cases. • Engage membership through improved email discussion. Encourage conributions also through use of social media where appropriate • Capacity development to promote services online as needed (AAA-CIARD)

Developing KM processes and skills • Consultation – 30 ACP and EU KM expertsSeminar with Wageningen University • Advocacy materials – Explanation of Knowledge management together with framework for implementation • Publications: ICM strategy guide, Smart Toolkit, iMark training module (CD and online) • Development of KM scan instrument to assess an Organisations Knowledge Management situation • Global consultation to develop 2 year action plan focused on opening agriculture knowledge for smallholders (CIARD) • Comores , Madagascar and West Africa region training for francophone countries on Monitoring and evaluation of KM activities using smart toolkit

  9. Small Scale Fisheries employ 90% of fish workers and are responsible for 50% catches

Content management • Web platform development • CTA websites reached over 600,000 people from 210 countries and visits from mobile devices trebled in 2012 • New website platform and modules developed to serve CTA portals and partner platforms. CTA site redesigned to improve access to CTA and partner materials. • ICT4AG conference sites launched • Specific focus on serving and supporting ACP partners using innovative approaches: • Content Delivery Networks for faster ACP access. • Responsive design for mobile and tablet access and apps for offline access • Better support for email services and integration with social media

Tools for community engagement • Improved communication, opening access to information, discussion and knowledge sharing within organisations and communities • NEPAD/NPCA: Implementation of CAADP and interaction with RECs KM study (+ project for support to extend to RESAKSS for 5 national platforms of the ECOWAS region) • RFOs: Strengthening of the new Pan-African farmers’ platform (PAFO) Prototype site in place. • Small Island States: Web platforms for Green Growth to ready for launch in June (MSG, Pacific), Food Security (IOC) & Blue Economy (Caribbean) partners identified and project plans developed. • Farmers Organisations and Media Workshop
