  3. Kongeriget Danmark Denmark, Northern Europe headed by a constitutional monarchy, comprises the peninsula of Jutland and 443 islands, including the Faroe Islands in the Atlantic, and Greenland in the Arctic.

  8. Capital city At present, Copenhagen is the country's largest city and home to roughly one quarter of the danes population. It is an important and modern commercial and tourist center.

  9. Goverment: Denmark is a monarchy. The chief of govermant is Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

  10. State: The head of state is the queen Margareth II.

  11. Monuments: One of the most important monument is the famous Little Mermaid of Denmark. It is made of bronze and is 1.65 meters tall with a weight of 175 kg. It has the signature of Edvard Eriksen and is sitting on a granite stone at Langelinie Pier.

  12. Culture The Danes are generally reserved for people. Equality is an important part of Danish culture, much more important than the success or what could be considered an attempt to prove that one is more important than the rest. The Danes call this feature Janteloven or Jante Law. Generally, people are closed and ready to show that culture and have pride in their history, always being in front of their flag and their queen. The older people, is friendly and hospitable, however, youth is a bit difficult to treat.

  13. Important person: • Hans Cristian Andersen: Hans Christian Andersen (April 2, 1805 - August 4, 1875), Danish writer and poet, famous for his tales for children, including “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Little Mermaid”
