  3. Badminton Club! • Come and play badminton and other gym sports with all your friends at the JHS gym! • Usually Friday nights (approximately 9-11pm) • Club Advisor: Mr. Hutt • Listen to announcements for more info!

  8. Girls Learn International • JHS Girls Learn is an official chapter of the non-profit organization Girls Learn International. Its purpose is to promote human rights and provide girls in developing nations the opportunity to receive an education and to choose their own futures. In our Jackson chapter we will be working to promote awareness in the community and to raise funds for sister schools in Africa, Asia, and South America. • Club Advisor: Mrs. Organ • Club President: Kelsey Banning • First Meeting time, date, location: Tuesday October 2nd at 2:05 PM in Portable 5

  9. Improv! Do you love performing? Do you want to “Improve” your speaking skills? If so, join the world of Improv, a hilarious activity made popular by shows like “Whose Line is it Anyway”. Our Improv Captains are MaddyWarnkeand Jackie Becker. We meet in the Drama Room (B110). Meetings will begin after the musical ends, in November!

  10. Interact Club • Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Jackson’s branch of Interact deals mostly with the Mill Creek Food Bank but works to benefit the community as a whole. • Advisers: Ms. Montgomery and Ms. Allen • President: Madeline Miller • Meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Activity Center Receiving a donation at last year’s ribbon cutting ceremony.

  12. Knowledge Bowl • We will have 4 meets and a District meet. Meets are held after school at High Schools throughout the County. There is no studying involved!!! You just need want to have fun!!! Snacks are provided. • Mr. Taggart • TBD • First Meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 25 in C143

  13. LINK CREW Strong leadership and positive role models to the incoming freshman class! We plan fun activities to welcome the Freshmen to Jackson and plan events for/with them all year long! Club Coordinators:Mr. Turner and Mr. Gadek Events for freshmen go on all year, plus monthly meetings for leaders. Current Sophomores and Juniors can apply inJune 2013

  14. Mock Trial If you like to debate, act, or watch “Law & Order”, this is the club for you. You will have the unique opportunity to be either a lawyer or a witness in a criminal case, which will be tried in a real court room— just like on TV! Our Mock Trial President is Jackie Becker. Meetings will begin in early October.

National Honor Society • JHS Honor Society is a chapter of the National Honor Society, which recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS invites sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher to be inducted into the chapter and participate in community service events. • Club Advisor: Birgitte McIntosh • Club President: Kelsey Banning • Monday, October 15th at 2:10 PM in the Commons

  17. PROJECT GREEN • We are a club that wants to not only reach out to the school but to the community about environmentally saving the planet!   21. Theatre Society • Have you ever wanted to be in a TV show? Do you love to build things?
