  1. 6th Grade Olympics What is it and How can I go?

  2. What is it? • 6th grade Olympics will be hosted in April. It is an entire day (except related arts classes) of fun Competitions and rewards

  3. What will happen that day • In the morning we will be watching a super awesome movie (It’s a secret what it is). We will also start some of the Olympic events that morning • Lunch will be regular • That afternoon we will finish up the major Olympic games and attend the amazing ice cream sundae bar.

  4. What if I don’t go? • You spend the day doing normal classroom work in a holdback room. You will go to related arts and then come back to the hold back room. BORING!!!!!

  5. How do I get to go? • Each teacher will be giving multiple writing assignments. If you get a proficient or distinguished you get a sticker on the main board at the end of the hallway. • Once you get one sticker in each content, you have earned your privilege and will be allowed to attend.

  6. BONUS • Once you earn your 5th sticker, you will be allowed to take your electronic device to lunch. The lunch staff will have an updated list of students that can have their device.

  7. Q&A • Q: If I get a proficient or distinguished on the first one, do I have to keep taking that content? • A: Yes, each writing assignment still counts for an actual grade in the grade book.

  8. Q&A • Q: What are some of the Olympic games? • A: I don’t want to spoil the surprise but a few are shown on the next page…

  9. Everyone’s GOAL: • BE PROFICIENT OR DISTINGUISHED IN ALL THINGS YOU DO!
