Lectiodivina means "sacred reading" and has 4 stages. • Lectio - means… • Meditatio • Oratio • Contemplatio “LectioDivina”Praying through Scripture Write down the 4 stages in latin, leaving 4 lines between each heading. Watch the video. Write down next to the heading the english word that means the same as the latin.

  3. 2. Watch the video again. Write down more detail about what each stage involves doing, on the line below it. • Lectio - reading • Meditatio - thinking • Oratio - prayer • Contemplatio -

  4. 1. Explain what each stage involves doing in more detail.by matching & writing out the correct box.***Think of a mnemonic to help you remember the order of the stages! Speak to God about what you’ve discovered. Thank him, ask for his strength, for help, on behalf of someone else. Slowly, more than once. Notice any phrases that strike you. • Lectio - reading • Meditatio - thinking • Oratio - Prayer • Contemplatio - rest in God’s embrace Ask yourself questions – what is it about? What phrases strikes you ? What are they saying to you? To your life & struggles now? How does it make you feel? Time of silence, rest in the presence of God. Sense being one with God.

Why? What is it about what they say or do ? • How does it make you feel? What pleased you? What upset you? • What is this phrase saying to your life? Your struggles?
