AM Modulator

AM Modulator. Types of AM modulator. There are low-level and high-level modulators . Low-level modulators generate AM with small signals and must be amplified before transmission. High-level modulators produce AM at high power levels, usually in the final amplifier stage of a transmitter.

  1. AM Modulator

  2. Types of AM modulator • There are low-level and high-level modulators. • Low-level modulators generate AM with small signals and must be amplified before transmission. • High-level modulators produce AM at high power levels, usually in the final amplifier stage of a transmitter.

  3. Low level modulator

  4. Low level modulator waveforms

  5. Collector modulated Class C amplifier

  6. Collector Bias Carrier Wave Output at collector (without tank circuit) AM waveform due to flywheel

  7. Balanced Modulator • A balanced modulator is a circuit that generates a DSB signal, suppressing the carrier and leaving only the sum and difference frequencies at the output.

  8. Balance Demodulator
