  2. Question 1: Has your average time spent watching TV changed over the last 10 years? Why? • 11 years old – No, I have always watched TV when I get home from school. My routine hasn’t changed. • 45 years old – Yes, I can watch more TV now as my children have grown up and need less looking after. • 20 years old – Yes, I used to watch TV for a few hours after school but now I don’t have time due to university work. • 73 years old – Yes, I watch TV more than I used to 10 years ago as I have retired since then.

  3. Question 2: How has your experience of TV changed? • 11 years old – I used to watch baby programmes and now I watch cartoons for a slightly older age range. Overall, my TV experience hasn’t changed much. • 45 years old – Visual quality has improved and there are more programmes to choose from. • 20 years old – Lots of programmes that I used to watch aren’t on TV anymore and are replaced with new ones that I’m not familiar with. • 73 years old – Over my lifetime, my experience of TV has changed a lot e.g black and white TV to colour, much better quality.

Question 3: Over the past 10 years, how many games consoles/ uses of gaming have you used? • 11 years old – Gameboy, PS2, Computer games, Apps via iPod. • 45 years old – Apps via iPhone. • 20 years old – DS, GameCube, Computer games, Apps via iPhone. • 73 years old – None, I very rarely play games.

  5. Question 4: How has your experience of gaming changed? • 11 years old – I don’t use the Gameboy or PS2 anymore as technology has improved. I now only use my iPod. • 45 years old – This hasn’t changed over the past 10 years. • 20 years old – I only use my iPhone for gaming now, my other uses of gaming that I listed are outdated. • 73 years old – When I was a child, there were little to no electronic games that could be played compared to what there is now.

  6. Question 5: Do you go to the cinema more or less than you used to 5 years ago? • 11 years old – More • 45 years old – More • 20 years old – Less • 73 years old – Less

Question 6: Has your way of accessing music changed at all? • 11 years old – No, I still go to HMV to buy my music. • 45 years old – I used to go to a store to buy music but now I do it online. • 20 years old – I’ve always used the iTunes store app on my phone to access music. • 73 years old – No, I always go to my local music shop to buy CDs.

  8. Question 7: Do you spend more or less on music than you used to in the past 10 years? • 11 years old - I spend more money on music than I used to,as I am more interested in it now. • 45 years old – I spend less as I was more interested in music when I was younger than I am now. • 20 years old – I spend more on music than I used to as it is very popular within my age range. • 73 years old – I spend more on music that I used to as I spend a lot more time at home to listen to it.
