CSR GOVERNANCE SIX-STEP BASIC FRAMEWORK (Working draft) Boards of directors seeking to integrate basic CSR systems into their governance framework should ensure the following are in place: Vision and Policy Board adopts a CSR vision and policies Board Recruitment Training Evaluation Strategy and Risk Management Board ensures a multi-year CSR strategy and annual business plan are in place that include management of risks and opportunities Accountability Board ensures structures are in place for CSR governance, oversight, and accountability to stakeholders Board incorporates CSR objectives into director recruitment, training, and evaluation Performance Management Board ensures performance management systems reward CSR performance Measurement and Reporting Board reports to stakeholders on CSR performance There are two draft CSR Governance Frameworks: Basic and Comprehensive.
