I read a book called The Bee Tree and I liked the part when they catch the bees…In the story they catch three bees, but I would change the three bees to seven bees. Love, Big Brother P.S. I also liked it when the bee led them to the tree.

  14. My Side of the Mountain 3. Research Catskill Mountains Do some research on the Catskill Mountains. Include interesting facts: location, size, part of what mountain chain, etc. Present your findings in a PowerPoint presentation.

  16. What are the catskills? • A mountain chain found in the southeastern New York state • In the counties of Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Schocharie, Sullivan, and Ulster

  17. What are the catskills often nicknamed? • The Catskills are often nicknamed “America’s first wilderness” • Why do you think the Catskills are nicknamed “ America’s first Wilderness”? REFLECT!!

  18. Important Features • The Catskill mountains take up 300,000 acres of public forest preserve. • The mountains also provide a portion of New York’s drinking water supply.

  20. Think Dots Strategy Create a least 4 doodles using Doodle Splash. Complete the prompts in the right column, relating the doodles to the story or chapters. Create a venn diagram comparing and contrasting you to the main character. Include at least 4 differences and 4 similarities. Create your own comic strip using Comic Creator. Use characters from your book. The comic strip must have at least 5 frames and captions. Imagine that your book is being made into a movie. Design a poster to advertise the drama. Define 5 words from the story that you are unfamiliar with. Along with the definition, write an orginal sentence using each word. Design a charm bracelet for the person in the book. Include at least 5 charms and draw a picture for each. Write a sentence explaining why these charms tell about the person's life or interests.
