General Information • Quad Cities include: • - Moline (Illinois) • - Rock Island (Illinois) • - Bettendorf (Iowa) • - Davenport (Iowa) • Membership • Over 30 members from 10 families • Includes Young adults and Children • Primary Activities • Weekly Bhajans • Special Bhajans • Study Circle • Service Activities • Bal Vikas • Library • Mini-Retreat • Invited Speakers for Satsang Sri Sathya Sai Baba Center of Quad Cities • Service Activities • Cooking and serving lunch for 70 to 110 homeless people at a Homeless Shelter in Davenport, Iowa • Sing bhajans and play musical instruments to entertain residents at the Handicapped Development center in Davenport, IA • Cook and Serve meals at Quad City Hindu Temple to raise funds for the temple • Study Circle • Held once a month - every 2nd sunday for one hour 4 - 5 PM • Study Circle coordinator assigns topics • Using “Guidebook for Sri Sathya Sai Study Circle” for selecting discussion topics • One person leads every topic, followed by discussion with all members • Regularly attended by 15 to 20 members • Weekly Bhajans • Bhajans held from 4 PM to 5 PM every Sunday • Held at different location every week by rotation • Bhajans start with Gayathri mantra, followed by Lingashtakam and Bhajans • Attended by approximately 20 members every week • Bhajan practice every week from 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM • Special Bhajans • Special bhajans held in addition to weekly bhajans • Maha Shivrathri • Rama Navami • Easwaramma Day • Guru Purnima • Ganesh Chaturthi • Krishna Ashtami • Dussehra • Diwali • Akhanda Bhajans • Swami’s Birthday • Christmas • New Year’s Eve
