4. The speaker feels powerful admiration for a girl who “walk[s] into the room so perfect but unaware,” and it is apparent that he suffers from an unrequited love.

6. The speaker wants to take care of the girl and make her forget about her boyfriend who “broke [her] heart.”

8. The speaker has this secret that nobody else knows. He is unsure if he should tell this girl of his true feelings and questions, “Should I go or wait? Is it too soon too late?” He is aware that she is broken-hearted and needs some time alone, but he doesn’t want to wait too long. This guy might be afraid that he will miss his opportunity if he waits too long, or perhaps he just doesn’t want the girl to be in pain any longer. He wants to let her know “all these things that [her] heart never heard.” He wants the girl to feel about him the way he feels about her. He has a strong urge to let her know about his feelings, but he realizes it may be too soon. Romeo knows that his Juliet needs to work through the “pain in [her] eye” before she is ready to have another boyfriend. He finally reflects that only his shadow will know his secret because he doesn’t want his dream girl to feel rushed. He may even want her to develop feelings for him without any clues about his feelings for her. He is stuck in a confused decision about whether to tell her and everyone how much he loves her or whether to wait a bit longer.
