  2. Six Years Ago • About ½ dozen club teams • Private organization • Members drawn from anywhere • Almost no elite teams • Part of city program • At least 50% from normal draw areas • City teams majority of MMFL / Suburban League – Approx 250 teams • Some cities found support from high schools Most Associations Were Casually Run

  3. Today • Suburban League – over 400 teams • Dozens of club teams (various ages) • E.g. Snow Catz, Sting, etc. • Many cities fielding at least one elite team • E.g. Soderville Moose, Elk River Extreme, etc. • Virtually every city works with local H.S. • Coaches provide coaching clinics • Clinics for players • Advisors for program Associations Building Aggressively to Attract Players

  4. BPAA Recent Successes • 1 year ago – 4 teams • Today 11 teams • Strong / committed board • Building systems for administration and support We Are Missing Some Key Elements

  5. Program Concerns • Need to define a curriculum - consistency • Provide skills training for coaches • Do not have connection with local H.S. • Losing top players to club teams We Have a Suggested Solution

  6. Proposal • Create connection with Osseo H.S. • Clinics for coaches • Clinics for players • Establish an elite team • 1st year 16U • Players from B.P, Osseo, Maple Grove • Start with winter Dome Teams • Open to all players (12U / 14U / Elite – 16/18U) • Create an 8U team beginning 2013 It IS Change… We Need Your Support

  7. Concerns • Change • Head coach might be from Osseo • Timing – Dome Team?

  8. Moving Forward • Fast pitch board – polled individually – on board • Tonight’s meeting • Blessing? • Roadblocks? • We will work out details for Dome & Spring teams
