  1. Welcome 3D Design & Modeling, Automation & Robotics, and Magic of Electrons! Where innovation and excitement go hand in hand.

  2. What is PLTW? • Project Lead the Way, or PLTW, is a STEM elective • 3D Design and Modeling & Automation and Robotics are the two courses offered for 7th/8th grade • Magic of Electrons is offered for 6th grade • Both electives will mix in computer science/programming

  3. 7th/8th DM/AR Elective? • design 3D objects on Autodesk Inventor, a professional software program (pegboard toy, playground) • learn programming with RobotC software (build mechanical gears, windmill, rotating sign)

  4. 6th ME Elective • discover electricity and circuits by building a Morse Code Machine, DC Motor, using SNAP Kits and Soldering a circuit to build a night light
