  2. For a given food let’s assume we find the following number of calories from the macronutrients carbohydrate, protein, and fats. How to we figure out the percent of calories from each of the macronutrients? Carbohydrate 150 calories Protein 150 calories Fat 300 calories Total calories = 150 + 150 + 300 = 600 calories

  3. Percent from carbohydrate = (150/600) x 100 = 25% from carbohydrate Carbohydrate 150 calories Protein 150 calories Fat 300 of calories Carbohydrate 150 calories

  4. Percent from protein = (150/600) x 100 = 25% from protein Carbohydrate 150 calories Protein 150 calories Fat 300 calories Protein 150 calories

  5. Percent from fat = (300/600) x 100 = 50% from fat Carbohydrate 150 calories Protein 150 calories Fat 300 calories Fat 300 calories
