  1. JESUS 101.3 The basic study of Jesus

  2. Speaking to the reasonable mind “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. (Isaiah 1:18, ESV) But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17, ESV)

  3. It is REASONABLE to believe the evidence • Of historic writers (many of them enemies) • Of the New Testament, proven true … • Historically • Geographically • Archaeologically • Bibliographically

  4. Many other signs • Written with a goal, i.e. that one might believe and have life • Written in harmony with Jesus’ own goals Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.  (John 20:30-31, ESV)

  5. Jesus’ Goals But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me. (John 5:36, ESV) Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me,  (John 10:25, ESV)

  6. Signs given that one might believe John 2:1-11; 150 gallons of water into wine, manifested His glory, disciples believed John 4:45-54; Nobleman’s son, noted his lack of faith, brought faith to the household John 5:1-18; lame man in Bethsaida, Jesus claimed equality with God John 6:1-14; fed 5,000 men, the people believed Him to be THE prophet

  7. Signs given that one might believe 4. John 6:15-21; Jesus walked on water, the disciples worshipped Him, their faith grew 5. John 9:1-12; Healed man born blind, to display the works of God 6. John 11:1-46; Raised Lazarus from the dead, to glorify both Father and Son 7. John 13-20; Death, burial, resurrection of Jesus, declared Him as the Son of God

  8. What Did the HS Give Witness To? That Jesus was worthy of glory, to be believed in Jesus was God’s equal, the prophesied one of OT In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.  (John 1:1-2, ESV)

  9. What Did the HS Give Witness To? That Jesus was worthy of glory, to be believed in Jesus was God’s equal, the prophesied one of OT That He is Master of the natural world, the Creator All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.  (John 1:3, ESV)

  10. What Did the HS Give Witness To? That Jesus was worthy of glory, to be believed in Jesus was God’s equal, the prophesied one of OT That He is Master of the natural world, the Creator That He came to display the works of God That He came to be glorified with the Father And that was done finally, absolutely at the resurrection

  11. You Can Ask For More Than The Historically Proven Pages Of The New Testament… BUT, Scriptures Proven In The Fires Of Time, Enemies, And The Study And Examination Of History’s Finest Minds Are Enough.

  12. Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.  (John 20:30-31, ESV)
