  1. Lesson 30: Nature By Group SAL

  2. Arboreal - Relating to or resembling a tree.

  3. Bourgeon- a bud of a plant.

  4. Deciduous - Falling off or shed at a specific season or stage of growth.

  5. Fauna- Animals, especially the animals of a particular region or period, considered as a group.

  6. Flora-Plants considered as a group, especially the plants of a particular country, region, or time.

  7. Germination- the process whereby seeds or spores sprout and begin to grow.

  8. Horticultural- The science or art of cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, or ornamental plants; the cultivation of a garden.

  9. Lichen- A fungus, usually of the class “Ascomycetes”, that grows symbiotically with algae, resulting in a composite organism that characteristically forms a crust like or branching growth on rocks or tree trunks.

  10. Sylvan-Located in or inhabiting a wood or forest • A village in a game, where is located in the forest.

  11. Verdant- Green with vegetation or covered with green growth; greenLacking experience or sophistication; naive.
